Research and Detection of Partial Discharges in High Power Oil Transformers

TES in cooperation with Brno Technical University and EGU-HV Laboratory, a.s. Praha developed measuring and diagnostic methodology designed to detect and localize deteriorating condition of the transformer. The method of partial discharges has been used and validated on the prototype  of  diagnostic system for monitoring of partial discharges. The prototype was followed by new diagnostic system MOSAD®-MST-PD that is now implemented in the Czech nuclear power plants. The project was co-financed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.
